On a sunny day the last thing you want to do is travel on trains, but here I was experiencing the wonders of the British Transport system, heading North to Sheffield. I was attending a Photography Farm Shoot Day, where you get to photograph a styled shoot organised by some great industry professionals at a unique venue. You also get to hang out with some really amazing photographers who try to impart their wisdom to you in furthering your skills as a photographer.
Organised by Lisa Devlin, the brains behind Photography Farm, the shoot was at the Abbeydale Picture House, a 1920's former cinema which at one time was referred to as the “Picture Palace”. It had seen better days having not been in use since 1991. A restoration process is in the works and the place is now able to be hired for events.
It was a really inspiring day and I can't recommend Photography Farm enough for anyone wanting to improve their skills as a photographer.
